Upgrading the firmware on Grandsteam phones
To upgrade the firmware of Grandstream phones follow these steps:
Find the IP address of the phone by either using an IP scanner tool or by pressing the up directional key on the phone.
Login to the phone's web interface (default login credentials are Admin Admin)
Navigate to the 'Maintenance' tab and click on 'Upgrade and Provisioning' in the drop-down menu.
In the page that opens enter one of the below links into the 'Firmware Server Path':
For GXP2140 enter: malab.grandstream.com/firmware/Color/1.0.7.25
For any other model entering: firmware.grandstream.com
Now you can reboot the phone to start the upgrade process as it should check the server for new firmware on boot up.
Note: If the reboot doesn't start the upgrade process you can try going into 'System' in the phone's menu and selecting 'Start Provision'.
The phone should now be upgraded to the latest version available from Grandstrea
