Moving a DID between services

Moving a DID between services is fairly quick and easy to do, but it does require a scheduled outage with the end customer as there will be a small amount of downtime when reassigning the DID.
We recommend scheduling a small 10~15 minute window to carry out DID reassignments if the DID is still in use so, this way you can confirm that the new routing is working before handing it back to the customer.
Ensure your new service you're moving this the DID has already been created prior to unassigning the DID to avoid extended downtime.
Follow the steps below to reassign a 1300/1800 number within the Inbound Numbering System.
Step 1. Log in as a user that has Admin access to your account, LINK
Step 2. Click into the service that currently has the DID you want to move
Step 3. In the page that loads under "Assign Numbers" click on the DID you want to move and then click the arrows pointing left
Step 4. Click "Save Service" at the bottom of the page
Step 5. Now click into the new service you want to move it to
Step 6. Under "Assign Numbers" click on the DID you want to allocate to the service and then click the arrows pointing to the right to assign it to the service
Step 7. Click "Save Service" at the bottom of the page to save the changes
The changes should take effect immediately, if you encounter issues following the reassigning of the DID please contact our support team as soon as possible so that we can assist.
