nbn™ Traffic Class 4 (TC-4) is a broadband service designed for general internet use, ideal for homes and small businesses across Australia. Delivered over a variety of technology types—such as fibre, copper, and wireless—TC-4 provides asymmetrical bandwidth profiles (higher download speeds than upload speeds) and operates on a ‘best effort’ contention model, making it perfect for non-critical applications like web browsing, email, and streaming.
Hosted Network’s nbn TC4 services include access to diagnostic tools, Project Guardian for security checks, health status information, and optional monitoring to ensure optimal performance. We’ll even notify you when an existing service can be upgraded to Fibre, offering faster and more reliable connectivity.
TC-4 services can be enhanced with additional eSLA options for improved performance and reliability, while our default CG-NAT IP addressing can be upgraded to a static IP if required. To ensure the best fit for your needs, use our WAN Qualification tool to check available speeds and technology at your location before quoting.
Whether you're setting up your first nbn TC4 service, troubleshooting an existing one, or diving into the technical specifics, we've got you covered.
