Accessing the VDI VM Console

Overview

This guide covers how to access the console of your VDI through the Horizon Admin panel. This provides you with bare metal access without the need for external access.

This is particularly useful when the VDI is offline, or otherwise has no network connectivity.

Process

To access the console of the VDI simply follow the steps below:

Step 1. Login to your Horizon DaaS admin panel, the URL should look similar to: example.anywhereaccess.com.au/admin (this may differ if you have a custom URL for your environment)

Step 2. Once logged in click on "Assignments" along the left side of the page, then select the assignment containing the VDI you want to connect to and click on "Desktops" at the top of the page

Step 3. From there select the VDI by clicking the box to the left of the VDI name, then click the "More" dropdown above the table and click "Launch Console"

The console should look similar to the screenshot below.

If when you click "Launch Console" you get a 404 not found error please log a request with our support team to have this investigated.
