# Creating and updating a time interval

## Steps here are separate sets of steps depending on the type of account you have with Hosted Network.

If you have a Wholesale Service Provider account please follow the " Steps for Service Provider"

If you have a SIP Trunk or VOIP Bundle please follow the "Steps for Organisations"

Follow the below steps in order to create a new time interval within the VoIPNow Portal as a Service Provider

**Step 1.** Navigate to [**sip01.mhn.net.au**](https://sip01.mhn.net.au/) and login with your credentials

**Step 2.** Once logged into your account, navigate to the Organisation you wish to create the time interval for

**Step 3.** Under the heading **"Telephony Settings"** click on **"Time Intervals"**

**Step 4.** Click on **"Add Time Interval"** or click on an existing time interval if you wish to update an existing interval

**Step 5.** Set the "Time Interval Definitions" according to the below

**a.** Name - Give the Time Interval a name that will make it easy to identify / understand what it will be used for

**b.** Matching Algorithm - Set this to "Individual Days" so that the time intervals work correctly

**c.** Time Zone - Set the time zone where this time interval will be used for

**Step 6.** Specify the time intervals under the "Matching Intervals" section

The way the time intervals work is that you specify a start and stop time in 24 Hour time, so for example if the customers business hours are 9 - 5, Monday to Friday then the time intervals would look like the below:

**Step 7.** Once you are happy with the time interval click on "Ok" at the bottom of the page to save the changes

Follow the below steps in order to create a new time interval within the VoIPNow Portal as an Organisation

**Step 1.** Navigate to [sip01.mhn.net.au](https://sip01.mhn.net.au/) and login with your credentials

**Step 2.** Once logged into your account, navigate to **"Unified Communications"** in the menu on the left of the page

**Step 3.** Under the heading **"Assets"** click on **"Time Intervals"**

**Step 4.** Click on **"Add Time Interval"** or click on an existing time interval if you wish to update an existing interval
