Allocating resources from your reseller pool to a new Virtual Data Center. Model 2 only.
This article only applies if your resource pool sits on your reseller account. If your pool is attached to a specific Virtual Data Center instead, you cannot create new ones yourself. See Understanding your service model if you are not sure which applies to you.
With a reseller pool you decide how much of your purchased CPU, memory and storage each customer gets, and you can create as many Virtual Data Centers as the pool supports.
Create the tenant first if the customer does not have one
Check the Quota Usage card on your dashboard so you know how much of the pool is still free
Agree the CPU, memory and storage the customer is buying before you allocate it
Click Tenants in the left hand menu and open the tenant
Click New Virtual Data Center
Give it a name the customer will recognise
Choose the data centre it should sit in, for example MP-SYDNEY
Allocate the CPU cores, memory and storage from your pool
Save. The new Virtual Data Center appears under Virtual Data Centers and on the tenant page
