# Backups

Backups are managed at the Virtual Data Center level. Two tabs cover it: Backups shows the restore points that exist now, and Backup Jobs shows the schedule that creates them.

### The Backups tab

* Open the Virtual Data Center and click Backups
* Backup Storages shows the repository the customer is using with its capacity, total usage and free space
* Virtual Machine Backups lists every restore point with the machine name, the date and time it was taken and whether it is protected from deletion
* Use the search box to find restore points for one machine

### The Backup Jobs tab

* Open the Virtual Data Center and click Backup Jobs
* Each job shows whether it is enabled, its schedule, when it next runs and when it last ran
* A typical job is Daily at 00:00
* If Last Run is much older than the schedule suggests, something has failed. Raise a request with Hosted Network support
