VSPC Overview

This article covers an overview of the Veeam Service Provider Console

The Veeam Service Provider Console (VSPC) is used at a partner level to manage tenant accounts for end customers.

Storage and licensing for BaaS services purchased by Hosted Network partners are allocated to the partner/reseller account as a pool, allowing the partner to create sub-accounts for end customers and allocate storage and licensing to these accounts as they see fit.

Key Features

The key areas of the VSPC portal to be familiar with in relation to BaaS services are as follows:

  • Companies

These are end customer tenancies that are created to allocate BaaS storage and licensing to a specific end customer

  • Configuration > Notifications SMTP settings can be configured to allow email notifications for backup jobs via whatever SMTP service the partner has available

If using VSPC to manage Veeam agents (eg. for physical servers or sites with no Veeam infrastructure), the following other areas are also relevant.

For more information on managing Veeam agents directly via VSPC without Veeam B&R, see: Configuration of Veeam agents via VSPC

  • Discovery This section can be used to deploy and manage Veeam Agents to servers and workstations to allow for direct backup to a BaaS cloud repository. A simple management agent can be deployed either manually or via mass deployment methods (eg. network-based, AD discovery, CSV upload), after which Veeam Backup agents can be pushed to machines as required.

  • Backup Jobs & Protected Data This is where existing configured job and backup data can be viewed for management and recovery purposes

  • Configuration > Backup Policies Custom backup policies and schedules can be configured to be applied to Veeam Agents
